Deep Thoughts

My Darling Daughter

Dear Eliza, Lisa, or Summer if we really go there,

Lately, I’ve been plagued with thoughts of you. You’re on my mind more than I make sure and you’re in my heart more than you may know. I miss you and I vaguely remember your cheeky laugh. I think you have the deepest set of dimples I’ve always wanted and you have the most innocent glowing eyes that make me fiercely protective of you.

The thought of you makes me want to give up everything and anything for you. Even though you’re not yet here, I find myself making sure when you come home, you have everything you need.

Your father is a King, and when I said I do; he made me his Queen. We were apart for quite a while and it took some time but when we finally collided; big bang, big bang… Look at what we made beautiful, You! Our princess. When I look at you, I see him… reflections of the love he made with me.

You are the most perfect thing I’ve ever created and I see me in you every day. You are the light of my life. You are my grace, my peace of mind, you are mine. I got everything I ever wanted the day I met you. You’re my simple thing.

There’s so much I want to tell you; There’s so much I want to show you. How you make me stronger. You make me better. You make me want to prove myself every day. I want to show you what strength looks like; constantly getting up after every fall, finding your smile after a loss, allowing your scars to teach you and not break you.

I want to tell you what love feels like; Sunshine in the middle of a storm, it’s an act of refusing to give up, it’s all in, it’s fire and water, it’s scary and exciting at the same time, it’s blissful madness, it’s the biggest sacrifice you’ll ever make and yet, the one thing that makes it all complete. You’ll find it in the words of others or in the deepest friendships – the kind you cherish all your life. You’ll find it in the strangest places, places you never knew it could be. Your father will teach you about honour; Because he will wear its crown and you’ll see that every day.

Follow your heart, let your love lead through the darkness. I believe in you. Don’t ever lose your light. Follow your dreams and be an angel of kindness, there’s nothing that you cannot do.

Some people will try to drag you down but take it from me; stand and be proud! You’re my little warrior! You will never be too this, or too that for anybody who truly loves you and the only way you’ll find them is if you remain true to yourself.

My little woman, don’t be afraid to risk it all. You will have to fight for your dreams but I promise you, I will fight for you and with you.

Every night there’s one thing I do, I bow my head and I pray for you. Always remember your tears hold your lessons which will make you wiser and stronger. No mistake or heartbreak will ever take away what you’re meant to be.

A good man will respect you only if you give him something to respect. Value who you are. A good man will fight for your honour; But you must be worth the fight. Many things will inevitably depend on your character therefore you must always work on yourself before anything or anyone else. My father always says, “Talent will take you where only character will sustain you.” Remember actions always speak louder than words. Words are who you want to be, actions are a reflection of who you really are and if you pay close attention to people’s actions, their words will never fool you.

Giving always seems like a burden if you do so for people who don’t reciprocate or appreciate; BUT this will teach you to appreciate people who sacrifice for you when you find them. When you feel like you’ve given enough, that’s when you should do more. When you feel, you can’t go on, kneel down and ask God for strength. Nothing is impossible with Him.

I love you forever and a day more!

Always, Mum.

Ps. This was quite hard for me to put up. I wrote it about 3 months ago and I have been kind of shy about exposing some of my raw emotions. For the simple fact that I always want my blog to  reflect who I am whether it’s about my style, fashion or thoughts, I went for it! I am sure I’m not the only girl out there who pictures what their kids are going to look like, talk like or act like. On a side note, I actually picture mine with chubby feet and fingers and I’m constantly fond of joking about this! 🙂

Can you believe 2017 is just a few weeks away?!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
